The Birds of a Feather event box office opens at 4pm on Friday, June 5 and closes at 11pm. It reopens again at 9am for weekend pass holders who can't arrive until Saturday (see NOTE #1 below).

PLEASE TRY TO ARRIVE WITHIN BOX OFFICE HOURS.**

For everyone arriving Friday during box office hours (which is almost all of you!), you'll check in for the event at our registration table in the front atrium and pick up your wristband. Don't forget your photo ID!

Then, if you're staying at the Flamingo, you'll walk over to the Flamingo check-in desk to check in for your room (see NOTE #2 below). 

If you're one of the rare birds who got a room at the Flamingo for Thursday night, you can check into the hotel during their normal check-in hours, but you'll still need to swing by the registration table in the atrium to pick up your wristband starting at 4pm Friday.

NOTE #1: If you can't get to the event until Saturday, you can arrive starting at 9am. When you get to the hotel, go directly to the Info Desk (just outside the doors to the pool) to check in and pick up your wristband. Then, if you're staying at the Flamingo, you'll check in for your room at the Flamingo check-in desk.

NOTE #2: We cannot guarantee early check-in, as it is at the discretion of the resort staff. However, if you arrive early, you're welcome to hang out at the Flamingo's Lazeaway Club restaurant & bar while you wait to check into the event and your room!

** If you accidentally arrive after 11pm on Friday, proceed to the Flamingo hotel check-in desk and let them know you need to check in for Birds of a Feather. You'll need to wait there until they can get in touch with one of the BOAF Organizers and we can come give you a wristband. This is not an optimal experience for you or the BOAF Organizers, so please arrive before 11pm Friday, or wait until Saturday at 9am to arrive.

Saturday-only Day Pass holders may arrive starting at noon on Saturday, June 6th. The Birds of a Feather box office will be open to check you in from noon to 8pm.**  Your Day Pass is good from noon on Saturday, June 6th to 2am Saturday night / Sunday morning.

• Bathing Suit (the pool is heated, and there is also a hot tub; pool towels are supplied by The Flamingo)

• Water Bottle and/or other closed-top vessel for the Wormhole (no open-top cups allowed!!!), Friday & Saturday after-hours

• Sunscreen

• Dancing shoes

Extra Credit Packing List

• A hat base and crafty bits for Lil' Bird Hat Crafting workshop with Dr. Vince, kicking off Friday at 7pm (Crafting Studio open hours continue throughout the weekend)

• Yoga mats and attire for Saturday morning yoga at 10am

• Shoes-off readiness (cute socks?!) for the Wormhole, Friday & Saturday after-hours

• Bird Call example ready to play from your phone for the Bird Calling Competition, Saturday at 1:30pm

• Photo or offering for the Altar in the Spoken Garden near the pool area

FRIDAY DINNER
You’re on your own for Friday night dinner. The Flamingo’s on-site restaurant will be open for dinner, but could get crowded at certain crunch times, so consider eating on your way in if you’re arriving in Santa Rosa around dinnertime. The locals on our planning team recommend Willi's Wine Bar (small plates), Monti's (great entree salads), and of course The Bird and the Bottle (small plates), or Superburger (great if you want to grab and go; get the Sonoma County grass-fed beef upgrade), all in the immediate vicinity of the Flamingo, for dinner. But there are plenty of other great options in town too!

SATURDAY BRUNCH & DINNER

On Saturday, catered, buffet-style brunch is included for Weekend Pass holders. Dinner is included for all ticket holders, including Day Passes! 

• Saturday Brunch is served poolside from 10am to Noon.

• Saturday Dinner is served poolside from 5pm to 7pm.

*NOTE: We will have a small number of vegan meals available for dinner on Saturday. Just ask one of the servers at the buffet. If you’re a “part-time”/ flex vegan, please leave these meals for our strictly vegan birds, as availability is limited.

Of course! Once you have your wristband, you can come and go as you please. Everyone will need to have a wristband to enter any area of the event throughout the weekend, so don't take it off and don't lose it!

Our event programming ends at 3pm Sunday afternoon.

Flamingo Resort check-out time is 11am and all guests of the Flamingo who have not booked their room through Monday will need to vacate their rooms by that time. Late check-out is at the discretion of the resort staff.

Luckily, Santa Rosa is a safe place, so if you don't need to rush home, you can toss your luggage in your car and come right back to the dancefloor, where we'll be shaking our tail feathers until 3pm Sunday.
